I like to transform the familiar subject of flowers into something richly textured and evocative. Loosely defined flower forms and layered colour suggest movement and vitality rather than botanical precision. Gestural brush strokes give the painting a sense of immediacy, caught in a fleeting moment of inspiration. My aim is to invite emotional interpretation rather than literal reading.
