This painting started out as a plein air piece. When I find a location (such as this wooded park) to paint, I then search for possibilities with my camera because the sunlight coming through the tree canopy is dappled and fleeting. These wildflowers were ready for their spotlight in time. They are Veronica (blues), Saxifrage (white), and Thrift (pinks).
