The majesty of gulls is most admired while watching them soar and glide on the updrafts and downdrafts of wind currents. In this painting, I am looking at a world through the eyes of the birds as they float and flap their way far above the rough waves licking powerfully up and over the black lava rocks of the shoreline of the Pacific Rim of Vancouver Island.
