Inspired by canoe trips on Lightning Lake in Manning Park, BC, this painting recalls the calm water and idyllic beauty of water, trees and sky. The canoe and paddler form the centerpiece of the composition but are also part of the threesome of canoe, island and rocky point. It’s a special moment that continues to nourish my spirit.
The painting is rendered in Brickilism™, a style of painting I employ by applying a variety of coloured “bricks” placed next to each other to form the final image.
