Bark of a pine sapling growing along a small creek, Ambleside, West Vancouver. I was first taken by the crooked twisted shape of the little pine tree. Then noticed the beautiful complementary colours of orange and blueish grey of the bark. But what really compelled me was the little green lichens growing along the edge of most of the bark scales. Nature is exquisite.
