"Great Blue Heron" is one of 12 paintings I made for my "Hidden Worlds/Wild Bird" series for a solo show at The Old School House, Qualicum Beach, 2019. Inspired by Squamish Environment bird conservation programs, my question became "How do we protect what we don't know exists?" These were so popular I made an open edition print for each bird painting and 2 sets of greetings cards.

The expressive nature of water media fascinates me and forms the basis of all my work – it’s a way of thinking and problem solving for me. I particularly enjoy a flowing, slightly unpredictable approach in a variety of fluid media.
"My paintings are often an immediate and personal response to natural forms and rhythms found in the Pacific Northwest landscape."
