Most times when I’ve been fishing I was never alone. In Florida, for example, there were Pelicans waiting for the catch of the day. In B.C. on the Ocean, the seagulls hovered all around. So it was such a pleasure to paint a Summer day at a B.C. lake with absolute quiet. Just the fisherman, the lake, the trees and hopefully some trout. As the fishman languidly waits for a strike or nibble in the calm of the day, however, something else waits. The patient sharp-eyed eagle, waiting and waiting for the anticipated reward.
