About the Artwork
This sculpture was the second one I attempted in ferrocement concrete. The idea was to create through hand modelling a work that I could finish as finely as one would stone. The actual form was given to me in a kind of kinesthetic dream where I ‘felt’ the tension of holding up the stars.

Lauri Copeman
Vancouver, British Columbia
Bordering between expressionism and realism Copeman's work is also reflective of what is revealed in her dreams. Her work tends to be intuitive rather than conceptual.
