My colored pencil pieces feature bold color and a focus of intensity from the gaze of the subject. I try to convey the conversation they’re having with us. It is a slower, meticulous process with lots of detail. There are many layers of color built up over time to bring the animal to life. This piece is primarily focused on light and shadow as the subject looks with curiosity. It's the halfway point of friend or foe, light and dark. Trust.
