Here Comes the Spring
Not For Sale
This painting is about the sky and the coming of spring foliage. Created in mid-May, I was drawn to how the sky looked more like a winter sky yet distant trees were showing the promise of spring - more lemon yellow than golden. I challenged myself to keep an overall muted palette to reflect the overarching greyness of the day.

The Woodland Organics Series released in 2021 expresses a heightened sensitivity to visual texture and colour transitions. Larger paintings give way to bold colour statements.
