The essence of boyhood is illustrated in this commissioned work. Based on a photograph, the underlying collage is composed of papers with images and text that have meaning to the boys and their family (Harry Potter, Minecraft and the comic strip Asterix and Obelix). This resulted in a personalized painting infused with meaning.

By blending figures into textured backgrounds I am expressing our interconnectedness; we are our contexts. This speaks to responsibilities we have to one another and to the world around us. Starting with abstract collages, I merge them with images from sketches or photos, transforming chaos into tranquil, contemplative art.
"I love the dance between intention and spontaneity. My process takes me from an often chaotic world to a quiet, contemplative space."
