We came across this "Wood Spirit", and ancient tree that had fallen into the ocean and washed up in this hidden cove off of Grey Bay. Finding a path through the forest, there was a carpet of moss and ferns ,giant trees tower overhead and ancient trees that had fallen and become a home for other trees and plants, the sunlight is dappled on the forest floor, the path is spongy from millennia of debris falling to the ground. Suddenly you emerge onto the hidden cove, Haida Gwaii a very magical place,in BC
