About the Artwork

Travelling abroad seems to leave imprints on your memory and personality. The novelty of it all opens you up to embracing the beauty of each moment. Hiking through the Cinque Terre, I was of course enamoured with the striking beauty of the pastel villages precariously perched on jagged cliffs. But the smaller moments of joy and surprise captured and held my artistic attention. The overgrown walkways and crooked trees sparked my creativity which led me to create this piece. I wanted to paint a scene that the viewer felt immersed in and yearned to see what was around the next corner.

Ezra Larsen

Vancouver, British Columbia

Ezra is ignited with a passion for creating artwork that speaks to our world and the state in which it’s in. With the tension growing between human society and the natural world, this is an issue which speaks to us all.

"The world is full of fantastical possibilities and beautiful yet disturbing realities. I want to capture this and throw a little of my own into the fray."
