she wanted blue flowers
bluer than the night
softer than the light
precious and warm, a memory

Yes, something happened that affected my outlook on life this year. My Mother passed in the spring. She was an amazing woman! I have so many wonderful memories to keep close to my heart and to take solace from when I need to. One of her passions was her gardens. She got great joy in the successes of her many varied and beautiful flowers. Mom loved growing her blue poppies, Meconopsis betonicifolia.
