Throughout the past year I began creating paintings inspired by my surroundings. On the front of this panel is a painting of an interior in my home, with a book and blanket for comfort on the days I felt anxious about the world around me. On the back of the panel is a painting of two empty mugs, a reminder of a time when I will get together with friends once again.

Veronica Funk
Airdrie, Alberta
Veronica Funk was raised in northern Manitoba, studied Art & Design at Red Deer College and is currently studying Art History through Thompson Rivers University. The focus of her work is to create stories through layers of acrylic colour and pattern, inspired by contemporary street art.
"Even after completing and exhibiting my work numerous times throughout the years, I still question myself. I wonder if I'm good enough but then remind myself to focus on the process, not the end results."
