About the Artwork
I viewed this majestic creature up close from my seat in an open jeep in the Serengeti. He was perched above us as he oversaw his pride with a watchful eye. I was entranced by the intensity of his gaze and what I saw as his half smile. The windswept mane and grasses added to the appeal.
