About the Artwork
I photographed it a few years ago at the Zoo in Aldergrove, thinking to use as reference. When I realized how I wanted it to evolve, that I wanted to have hewn edges like a rock so used a cementitious plaster on the sides and on the face on top of the canvas, then layered acrylic washes in layers and then the ram followed and it all came together.
