About the Artwork
It was my first day and first time plein aire painting high up in the Bugaboos. Cobalt Lake really is cobalt blue and the Bugaboo Spire at 3,204 meters is an impressive peak in western Canada. This painting shows our own iconic image of the Rocky Mountains.
