About the Artwork

This ceramic sculpture is finished with a bronze glaze and depicts two souls becoming one. The two heads lean and touch, sharing a single cloak, symbolizing the unity and commitment of love within marriage. A small opening at the center represents the inner emptiness and openness of the heart, suggesting that love needs space in order to dwell. The bronze-green surface shifts with the light, bearing witness that love only deepens with time and does not fade.
