This piece was influenced by the spiritual quality of the works by Lawren Harris when I first started studying acrylic. It was a dried stump that I discovered at the edge of Monroe Lake, Coquitlam. After the long hike, one is in a spiritual dizzy and this looked to me like a person kneeling and praying by the lakeside.
