About the Artwork

A closeup of subtle white/peach coloured rhododendrons on a sunny day with cool purple shadows and pink buds and bit of greenery in the background. As a watercolour instructor for over 30 years, flowers have been a great subject to teach the art of watercolour painting. I have always loved the way that watercolour renders the soft blended petals of flowers and white rhodos in particular capture all the pink and purple colours that I love to paint with.
