I love visiting the Gulf Islands between Vancouver and Vancouver Island, BC. I grew up in Comox on Vancouver Island and my favourite landscapes to paint are those that involve Ocean and Islands. During one trip on the ferry I was lucky enough to be watching the sunset as it lit the sky up with all the colours of the rainbow and reflected the on the waves. I have since taught many of my watercolour students how to paint this sunset. It gives me a sense of peace like coming home. This matted piece fits into a 16x20 frame.
