This painting was created solely with a palette knife. I was inspired by a view near Cache Creek. The striking colours of the grasses and wild weeds were intensified by the shadows of clouds. The use of the palette knife was a deliberate choice to achieve an impressionistic look to the landscape that captures the merged hues of the landscape at dusk.
