I returned home from a recent holiday in Portugal longing for fresh seafood, walks on cobblestone streets and evening swims in the ocean. Instead, I turned to painting transparent papers. Laying them down, like overlapping memories, to create a series of collage travelogues.

My paintings are simultaneous explorations of what I see, where I’ve been and how I want to feel. Like me, they are multilayered, complex and full of surprises. I learn something new about myself with each new piece.
