This painting began as a pure abstraction, but after a walk on the beach, I recognized the shapes as rocks revealed at low tide. Using multiple transparent layers and overlapping forms, I allowed the image to emerge organically before defining it with bold black lines. The process reflects my intuitive connection to nature and how the coastal landscape subtly influences my work, even when I'm not consciously painting it.
