About the Artwork
Hiking in the backcountry on a smoky autumn day, and the world is on fire. Blueberry bushes shine red and gold and the tarn reflects an unearthly glow as the sky glowers in a pink haze. The air is stilled and silent, and the faint odor of smoke brushes my nostrils. We eat blueberries, sweet and succulent, walking through the breathless air as the mountains fade from view.
