About the Artwork
This live-model painting of Yanni is also titled "Va Pensiero", because as I walked about selecting a view to paint him--the pose reminded me of the performance Nabucco and the chorus of the Hebrew slaves. The focus is on his hand as a gesture of resignation perhaps.
