High up in Manning Park, Blackwell Peak hosts some stunning wild flower meadows. To any gardener who toils to create beauty in their own yard, it is a joy and a wonder to see this abundance of flowers covering the hillsides. Fearless and exuberant, they spring forth from harsh conditions in a hurry to get pollinated and set seed to insure that their species continues to thrive. To stroll through these meadows, breathing in the mountain air and gazing off across the mountain ranges fading into the distance, is an uplifting experience and makes me think I have found heaven
