About the Artwork

"Missing the Misty Island" acrylic on canvas was a painting challenge while I was homesick for Vancouver Island and I had just moved farther away to Alberta making it seem like my soul was stretched. Having difficulty finding my paint supplies directly after the move I used what I could find to complete this painting using a limited palette of only 3 colors. The challenge of working with those 3 only produced a magical and dreamy composition that may not have been brought into existence had I not had trouble finding my supplies.
