I was picking my daughters up from school and the sunset was illuminating the peak of black mountain, while the far mountains were dark & misty. I love the distance from the glowing trees through the field and back into the valley, with the rosy clouds and the darkness above it all. I settled on a simple foreground because there's so much going on in the midground. It needed some restful space in the fiery commotion of sunset.
