I was inspired by the pure joy and exuberance of this bouquet of flowers as well as the classic lines and mood of the stone vase and the setting. The addition of the warm vibrant colours mixed through the cool tones of the leaves and ivy create a contrast that dynamic. This painting evokes the feelings of celebration and the stability of tradition.

"I have been an artist since I was a child and can’t imagine my life without painting. My favourite subjects to paint are landscape and wildlife so it’s amazing to be able to paint what I see around me every day."
