On my drive to university in Surrey I pass vast stretches of forest with dense undergrowth and towering trees. I love seeing the birds, squirrels, and the occasional deer. But the forest is dotted with real estate signs as well, so it won't be long and it will all be gone. While it's still there I need to document the beauty of it, before the forest is gone forever.

Sheila Van Delft is a visual artist who paints landscape and wildlife with sensitivity and thoughtfulness and hopes to bring a little of the wilds into the homes of her collectors. Her images include a wide variety of subjects such as mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, and BC birds and wildlife.
"I have been an artist since I was a child and can’t imagine my life without painting. My favourite subjects to paint are landscape and wildlife so it’s amazing to be able to paint what I see around me every day."
