First painted more than a year ago, this painting was shelved--I knew it had good bones but was lacking 'something.' Happening upon it unexpectedly, I had a sudden vision of what it could become if I altered it into a snow scene. This major change gave the work the contrast and sparkle it needed to lift it out of the bland. The lesson: don't give up on a painting too soon!
