About the Artwork

This is a bit of yard I walk by most days - it is behind my neighbour's house. The light was sensational. This painting is about the promise of spring's new growth and new beginnings juxtaposed against the last rays of sun on this day. As we cycle through our lives we are always travelling and moving forward but while we do that, we have many chances to rest and begin again.

Robin Nisbet

Port Colborne, Ontario

I am a painter and graphic artist that lives and works in the Niagara Region of Ontario. Working in oils, acrylics and digitally I love to create work that tells a story. I like to paint with lots of layers and expressive brush strokes while capturing light, shadow and form.

"I am inspired by each artist I get the pleasure of working with. I believe everyone's unique abilities should be celebrated and enjoyed because for a lot of artists it's their most honest means of expression."
