About the Artwork

My compositions usually consist of a simplicity of major elements realized through a complexity of tonal and textural patterns, this combined with a sense of fine detail. Iceberg Alley is located along the north and east coastlines of Newfoundland. “Reflection On Iceberg Alley #6” is part of an ongoing series inspired by reference photos that I took during a trip to this locale. This trip allowed me access to promising compositions, providing the dramatic shapes and patterns. This series is reflective of what I observed and recorded up-close by boat and from various shorelines.
