Regionally, work by Rene Thibault has been exhibited through the Visual Arts Alberta Association, various commercial galleries, and in several curated group exhibitions by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. Nationally, he has participated as a member in juried group exhibitions with the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour, the Federation of Canadian Artists, and the Society of Canadian Artists, receiving awards in many of these exhibitions. Internationally, he has been juried into group exhibitions by the Salmagundi Club at the Center for American Art in New York, NY (awarded a Certificate of Merit), the Philadelphia Water Color Society, PA, the National Watercolor Society in San Pedro, CA, and the Royal Watercolour Society in London, UK.
