About the Artwork
Elephants of the Little Karoo Region of South Africa. This paintings is based on a visit to Shannon's a 48,000 ha protected region where conservation efforts are committed to restoring the natural habitat and wildlife to the region. Due to its high altitude and semi desert terrain, the number of elephants are limited and have to move a vast distance in search of food and water.
