It seems that the pandemic related isolation has led to less time spent in habitual social interactions. While this resulted in hardship for many, it as also provided opportunities to spend passages of "free" time discovering the riches within that we may never have discovered otherwise. Italian architecture, an unexpected jazz performance, Giacometti inspired drawing and a monk in isolation all found their way into this composition.

My addiction is to the magical state of direct experience, when the thinking mind leaves me alone, and I am free to discover new possibilities and express the joy and vitality of some aspect of life through painting. I am also inspired to stimulate this in others.
