I create my abstract paintings by laying down base layers of paint to define the composition and then injecting paints into the base layers to create effects. Next, I manipulate the paint using palette knives. I am a proud Canadian and this piece is my nod to our Native Artist community. They have been so welcoming, generous, and inspiring to me. I think of this painting as a modern take on the images that have been part of our Canadian culture, interpreted in my own unique style.
