Inspired by my love of living on the eastern coast of Vancouver Island. From my “Oceana Series. Sculpted moulding paste with 5 layers of custom tinted epoxy resin. This painting collects natural light during the day because I have used a chemical element, it emits a soft glow reminiscent of phosphorescence, at night. I use metallic pigments to infuse the resin to express the beauty of the sea, and carefully sculpt the “land elements” to add the dimension and contrast. Growing up on the beach has provided me with a treasure trove of inspiration.
