I create my abstract paintings by laying down base layers of paint to define the composition and then injecting paints into the base layers to create effects. Next, I manipulate the paint using palette knives. I am a proud Canadian and this piece combines my heritage and my art. My objective was to pay tribute to Georgia O’Keefe, within the parameters of my own ‘voice’.
