In the winter season, called the ‘wet season’ by locals, storm after storm pummel the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island, Canada. It is a symphony of weather fronts that blow in from the wide, open, Pacific Ocean with howling winds and storm clouds that douse the shores with heavy rain. As each front moves through, beautiful blue skies and sun beams break through and dazzle the inhabitants with an expectation of a break in the weather.
