When my kids were little we were part of a vibrant community that was rich in interaction of all sorts. As I was painting this quiet moment in the grown-up life of one young friend, a little circle song kept jingling through my head. Om, we would sing, celebrating the presence of each person in the circle. Corny, yes, but heartfelt and ultimately enduring!

"In painting as in life, whatever distance you travel just opens up further vistas for exploration. Subtleties, bold statements, complexities of relationships, colour, colour, colour. I wish I could paint forever!"
