C$1,200
For a couple of years my niece regularly posed for me in my funky studio space in Ellen’s cabin. The photos I took at the time have provided a rich source of material over the subsequent years, as I paint in my current much more skookum studio. This rendition built on the solid forms and geometries of the pose and setting, which suggested a defined, contained and simplified approach to each component. That pastel coloured weaving insisted on being present, and I’m so glad now that I allowed it to have its way!
