It’s been a special joy to share my long-time home at the head of Kootenay Lake with my growing grandchildren. On this March outing to the flats, the marvels included cattails shedding their fuzz, osier to be shaped into a basket by eight hands working together, and wet sand to be glopped hither and yon.
