I have always been fascinated by the shapes found in nature, especially fruits, vegetables, seed pods, and other organic forms that seem ordinary at first, but become extraordinary the longer I look at them. Dragon fruit has always held my attention with its unpredictable structure, vivid colour, and sculptural presence. I can look at it for hours from every angle. I often photograph the fruits I bring home because some of them seem to ask for it. This dragon fruit, with its wild gesture and intricate organic curves, offered exactly the kind of complexity I love to explore in my artwork.
