About the Artwork

The halo piece to my Skyscape Collection with originally started with the intension of celebrating the Albertan skyline and it's wonderful and dramatic changing. It organically added meaning throughout COVID to one of mental wellness, a reminder to go outside, and that the sky connects us no matter where we are.

Perception is named as if you look at this large stormy Cumulonimbus cloud rolling in over canola field it can either be a meaning of positivity with it's rain coming to bring life and the sun is still shining or it can be one of negativity of it being dark, rainy, and lightning. It is all about each individuals perception.

Misty Ring

Edmonton, Alberta

Misty was born in the heart of BC’s interior and grew up passionate about the beauty of the mountainous landscapes around her. Moving to Alberta in the early 2000s, she found the same love for the raw beauty of the prairies – in particular, their vivid and dramatic skies.

"Overwhelmed with the beauty of the natural world with a goal to provide the essence and feelings of the natural experience."
