What brings me joy is being able to arrange lilies and in particular stargazer lilies in my blue vase for a beautiful high contrast of colour.
Lilies mean a lot to me for many reasons. The role they play in art history, religion, mythology, and basic symbolism.
While there is no consensus to the meaning of stargazer lilies oftentimes they are attributed to commitment, determination, success, passion, and fulfillment of dreams.
Originally I had planned the background for a deep blue black colour but found I wanted this painting to be a warm one. So I leaned in towards analagous
