About the Artwork

In this painting, I wanted to capture a fleeting moment of pure, unfiltered joy, the kind that only exists in youth, when everything feels alive, colorful, and full of possibility. When I first saw her, it wasn’t just her smile that struck me, but the energy around her—the quiet confidence, the warmth, and the sense that she was fully present in that moment, enjoying life without hesitation. I tried to translate that feeling into color and movement, letting the background dissolve into expressive, vibrant strokes that reflect the layered emotions and experiences of a happy teenager’s world. Rather than focusing on perfect detail, I allowed parts of the painting to remain loose and fluid, just like memory itself, so the viewer can feel the lightness, spontaneity, and richness of that moment I witnessed and chose to hold onto through paint.
