Devil’s Club (Oplopanax horridus) is a powerful plant that grows in consistently moist, rich, loamy soils mainly in the understory of old growth forests. Devil’s Club prefers cool shade and doesn’t tolerate disturbance well which makes them sensitive to logging and other human impacts.
